Whats included;
Full assessment of current diet.
A comprehensive report outlining your horses requirements and what it is currently receiving from the diet.
A revised diet plan which will include options for feeds so you can build the diet around your personal resources and what. is available to you.
Information relating to general requirements and the why behind meeting certain nutritional needs. You learn too, so you can make informed decisions about your horses dietary needs.
Follow up assessment after 6 weeks.
You provide:
A completed information form about your horse.
Full details of all feeds and weights of feed, we don’t go by scoops, everything must be weighed!
Weight of hay fed
A hay analysis if you would like it included in the report (this will increase the accuracy or the report.
A pasture analysis if you would like it included in the report (this will increase the accuracy or the report.
Hay and Pasture analysis:
A pasture and Hay analysis is very important. Forage makes up 80-90% of the horses diet so having an analysis will provide us with the the information we need to get the most accurate results for your horse. Below are some links to suggested labs where testing can be done, it is highly recommended to use Equi Analytical as they can cater specifically to horses. However the other Australian option is also fine for general information.
